Our forecast service (Gridraven Claw) takes numerical weather predictions, the surrounding topography of overhead lines, and line parameters as input and forecasts line ratings. The computed data is made available to the grid operator over API or via csv files.
The main functionality of the service is forecasting line amperage ratings for upcoming days (up to 10) in various granularity. Minimum granularity is one hour. Up to 72 hours, dynamic line ratings can be forecasted. After that, ambient adjusted ratings and static ratings are provided.
